About Us

Welcome to House of Friendship.

John NeufeldThank you for visiting and taking the time to get to know House of Friendship. I’m so glad you joined us!

I know you care about Waterloo Region. You care about issues like poverty, hunger, homelessness and addiction. By joining with us, you are sharing our dream of a healthy community where everyone can belong and thrive.

I invite you to walk alongside Waterloo Region’s most vulnerable residents – those who need food, housing, community resources or addiction treatment. Your support and involvement is critical.

That’s because I know that we are stronger together. Together, we can meet these complex issues with compassion, inclusion, justice, dignity and hope. Together, we can build a strong, healthy community where everyone has a future with possibility, hope and opportunity.

Take the time to explore our site, and learn more about the vital work that is being done in our community – work that you are, or can be, a part of.

Together, we offer help and hope to over 42,000 moms, dads, adults and children across Waterloo Region in four key areas:

Browse our website to learn more about each of these areas and why we do what we do.  If you want to build community, and you support House of Friendship’s mission, vision and values, I invite you to contact us and get involved.  There’s always room at the table for more!
