Neighbourhoods

You don’t have to face it alone. We’re here to help.

House of Friendship can connect you with a wide range of community resources that help families living on low income, whether it is after-school programming, community support groups, or summer camp sponsorship. Our Family Outreach Workers and community centre staff are here to help guide and encourage your family, so you can make the choices that are best for you.

Family Outreach Program

The Family Outreach Program is a community-based program created to prevent and reduce child poverty throughout Waterloo Region. Found in multiple locations, Family Outreach Workers support parents to meet their families’ basic needs by brainstorming solutions together, connecting them with resources and when necessary providing direct supports.
