You can support February Potato Blitz

It’s less than a month until February Potato Blitz gets officially underway, and there are many ways you can lend your support.

Every February, churches, community organizations and local schools band together to collect the equivalent of 300,000 lbs. of potatoes, in both cash and spud form.

Through community-based Potato Blitz fundraisers, along with special events like Don Cameron Potato Night with the Kitchener Rangers (set for Jan. 26, 2018) the Supermarket Potato Blitz (Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018) and the Community Potato Lunch (Friday, Feb. 23, 2018) this Region comes together to raise enough money to provide potatoes for House of Friendship programs throughout the year.

You can join in by organizing your own Potato Blitz, donating potatoes or cash during House of Friendship’s February Potato Blitz, or texting “SHARE” to 41010 to donate $5 towards the cost of potatoes.

To get involved, or find out more, contact Dawn Gill at 519-742-8327 x 119 or specialevents@houseoffriendship.org, or visit our February Potato Blitz page.
