History & Affiliations

Summer Camp Sponsorship is a program of House of Friendship's Family Services Division. The program started in 1972 and currently sponsors approximately 100 children each summer to attend Hidden Acres Camp near New Hamburg or Camp Shalom near Ayr.

The program provides a summer camp experience for children aged 8-14 who would otherwise not be able to attend due to their families' limited income. A camp experience has been proven to greatly enhance a child's self esteem, independence and social skills. Funding comes entirely through donations. Your help is needed to provide this opportunity to children of low-income families.
