Annual Meeting and Report

Community members gathered at House of Friendship's 71st Annual Meeting, on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Waterloo Christian Reformed Church in Waterloo.

The business meeting included the release of House of Friendship's Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements, which brought news of a small surplus of $36,701 for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. Click here for the full 2009-2010 Annual Report.

In additon, several Board Members were recognized for their years of service, new Board Members were welcomed with House of Friendship aprons in preparation for all of the work they will be doing, and two departing Board members were honoured.

A lovely Strawberry Social followed at 7:30 p.m., with those attending enjoying delicious fresh strawberries from Herrle's Country Farm Market. The evening concluded with a special program by House of Friendship's Executive Director, John Neufeld, who spoke on the theme of "Celebrating Community".

The Board of Directors, volunteers, staff and entire family at House of Friendship would like to thank the many parnters and supporters who continue to help us, "extend the hand of friendship to our neighbours in need". It is a privilege to serve our community.
